A lot has happened since Harby last wrote. (Yes this is Elliott filling in for Harby). Give Harby a break, she just had a baby! Elizabeth Claire Hodges was born on June 29th. We are so proud of her. I know all parents are proud of their child, but Elizabeth could not be a better baby. I have hardly heard a noise from her since she was born. She sleeps and eats and hardly ever fusses. Right now we are getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep at night, which is incredible for a 2 week old baby! Not to mention the fact that she is beautiful in her parent's eyes. We love her very much! Harby is mostly feeding the baby and resting. Not much time for anything else. I am helping as much as I can with Cameron. We should probably be more stressed than we are. We are moving the first week in August, strarting a new job, have two small children, and we have sold our house, furniture, and our only car. But somehow, the Lord has given us peace through the whole process. We have been blessed and we are ready to follow the Lord's Will! As Harby posted earlier, we are moving to NC. We will be living in Hendersonville, NC. We dont know anyone who lives there, but we do know people within driving distance, including our families. I am new to this blogging thing, but I understand I should leave you with some pictures, so here they are. We hope to see and talk to our family and friends soon!

Well, today is my due date, and nothing!
I am trying to be patient, so I've been keeping busy.Laundry, cooking, running errands, anything to keep my mind off the fact that little Elizabeth just is not ready to come out!
I am thankful though, that we get to join the celebration of our little friend Luke who turned 2 today! I was really thinking we would be in the hospital and have to miss his birthday, so that is a blessing!

Here are a few updates since the last time I blogged...sorry it has been SO SO long!

Elliott has a job transfer to Asheville, NC so we will be moving the beginning of August. We had the house on the market for a week, and had an offer accepted, so we are just waiting to sign the papers. God is SO GOOD all the time! He has His hand in all this, we get to stay here until our move date, a HUGE blessing!!! And, I have been at peace through the hole process, which is not my norm, so I know the Holy Spirit has been with me! Thank you LORD!

Cameron is getting more grown up every day, and is saying new things all the time! Elliott witnessed her say rooster, which I think is a pretty big word for a little girl! She says a lot of animal names as well. She is really fun, and a great distraction from this big belly that is lingering around!
She enjoys coloring, reading her books, and playing. She is just a busy little girl most of the day. She is on a mission most of the time, what she is doing, I'm not sure, but she knows exactly what she is doing, so I enjoy watching her play and discover new things around. She loves music, especially a Praise Baby CD she received as a gift for her birthday. She asks me to play it for her a few times a day! She swings her arms and dances to the music, it is really cute!
She is also learning the world of TV and videos. She really enjoys Sesame Street and Caillou, as well as the Little People videos.

Last Saturday I was so blessed by my friends with a baby shower! My friends Stephanie and Chelsea hosted a great party! While I was enjoying all the yummy food, friends and gifts, Cameron and Daddy had a great day going all over town. Here are some pics of their fun day together!!

It's true folks, I'm 31 weeks along. SCARY to think that Elizabeth could come any time now! I've got to start getting motivated! It's also exciting to see how Cameron is growing up a little more everyday. She is very vocal, we can't understand her most of the time, but she knows what she is saying to us! She is also very busy playing, reading and trying to convince anyone to take her outside! She will bring us her shoe, our shoe, go stand by the door, anything she thinks might work to get that door open!

Cameron has hit a few milestones recently as well, if you can call them milestones.
She was playing in the yard with Elliott a few days ago, and started spinning around to make herself dizzy!!! I didn't witness it, but I have seen a few morning kitchen routines of the same thing. Pretty funny! Also, she did a flip today all by herself! We were on my bed watch a Little People video(which is a great 30ish minute break for me!) and she "flipped" with me helping her, then a few minuted later, there she went! Luckily it was not off the bed, but towards me so it's all good!

I think Elliott is finally out of the fog, he is officially better, but he gave it to me, which is a bummer. I'm trying not to get Cameron sick, and as most of you Moms know, you just have to keep going...so I do, and get in a nap when the little one is asleep.
We have an ultrasound tomorrow, and a mini-date so I'm looking forward to that!

It's been So So long my friends!!

Hello all!!!
I can't believe it's mid-april! Where has the time gone?
I guess we have been busy around here, chasing after a VERY fast little girl, and growing another one!
We have spent many pleasant days outside, Cameron's favorite place in the world! Other than that, Elliott has been "nesting". This is something new to me! Who knew that the Daddys have a need to nest? He has painted our bathroom and the living room. He's dying to get into the bedroom and paint, but was feeling under the weather this weekend, so he mainly rested. I think he's finally on the upside of it, so I'm sure he will be bugging me to get everything together so he can tackle our room soon.

Cameron cracks me up every day and always amazes me at how much she truly comprehends. I've talked to her her entire life, but I guess I never really expected a reponse. So, this morning threw me for a loop!
One of Cameron's new favorite things is her plastic necklaces, and whenever she finds one, she puts it on. Well, this morning I noticed it had been HOURS since she woke up, and no necklace. So I asked her, Cameron, where is your pretty necklace?? She looked up at me, arms out, palms up, head tilted to the side and just shrugged her shoulders!!! I couldn't believe it! An actual response! She is growing up!

Oh, and I have an ultrasound on Friday! I'll let you all know how it goes!

Packing,packing,packing...for 3 people now it's a little more challenging to not go over the 50lb. limit, but I think we got it all together! I am so excited to be going home to prepare for my sister's wedding. It reminds me of my wedding. I feel like it was yesterday. So fun, and I can't believe it's been 4 years already! I am so happpy with the man God picked out for me and feel blessed every day that we are a family. So, congrats to Meta and the beginning of her new family! I'm so excited for you!!!!!!

Another Week Down!

Well, this week has been a little crazy. It started out as a normal, slow one for us all and by today I'm just wiped out! Poor Cameron was sick with ear infections AND pink eye, but feeling MUCH better now! Thank you Lord for medicine and healing! All day yesterday was a battle to take and hide every stuffed "friend" that would fit in the washer to decontaminate everything Cameron may have rubbed her poor eyes on in the last few days, but I'm glad to say, all of our friends, bedding and any blanket or towel that was in reaching distance is germ free!!! I love my washing machine...how did laundry get done before electricity???
We are in full swing gearing up for Meta's wedding, and the countdown to Chas. has begun! I can't wait for all of the festivities! We were in Atlanta a few weekends ago and my VERY talented brother had a photo shoot with our little star. Here are some of my favorites!

Hello all! We (I) have taken the plunge and decided to FINALLY post a blog so you can see all of our goings-on in the lovely state of Texas. Hopefully I can keep you posted with all of the news of our little bean Cameron, and her new little sister to arrive at the end of June.
And please let me know if you are even looking at this, so I know I'm not doing all of this in vain!
